MPH in Manly Part II

By: Pete Horsley on: 12.09.05

On Saturday 10th September all over the globe people acted to call their governments to account for promises made in the year 2000 as part of the Make Poverty History campaign. In Manly 30 people from the community including a fair whack from small boat volunteered to collect more voices to add to the world wide voice against extreme poverty. In 3 locations around Manly in just over 4 hrs we sold 1200 white bands, talked to people about the campaign and got 1000 signatures on a petition to our local MP to say that people out there do care about world poverty!! Great job to all involved.
